ホブルスカート [Hobble skirts]
ホブルスカートとは、第一次世界大戦前ポワレが発表した膝から下へ向
けてとても細く裁断しドレープをよせたスカートのことをいう。（資料

START OF MODERN FASHION: 1910-1918
Poiret revolutionized the fashion world with his less
restrictive version of the corset and also his design of the hobble
skirt, which incorporated elements from the Russian ballet and
resembled the pants of a man's suit but only with one pant
leg (Ewing, 1992; Takamura, 1997). The hobble skirt was made less
restricting by placing slits in the skirt to allow for more movement.
